The Arab reader has long known Bertolt Brecht as a poet and playwright, and rarely knew that he wrote short stories. Rather, the Arab reader may be surprised to learn that "The Tales of Mr. Quiner" by Brecht was chosen among the list of the 100 most important story books in the world in 1978 by Die Zeit newspaper. One of the most famous German newspapers, along with the books of Thomas Mann, Franz Kafka, Hermann Hesse, and other German narrative figures. "The Tales of Mr. Quiner" was collected and printed several years after Brecht's death. And here we are now presenting the first complete Arabic translation of this collection of eighty-seven texts.
