I am a retired police sergeant with twenty-five years of service to the community of Bronxville, New York. After serving in the Air Force, I bounced around to different jobs, worked for Republic Aircraft Corporation, and ended up pumping gas in an all-night gas station. During this time, I became friendly with a police officer from the 45th Precinct. His name was Peter Miller, and he would stop in to make sure that everything was okay. Thank you, Pete, for talking me into being a "cop." And to the people of this community, I say thank you for helping this cop become what he is today-a comfortable man of eighty-four who raised four children with his wife Marie, for which I am proud, and to my present wife, Julia, who also raised her two children, whom we are both very proud of.
