Produktbeschreibung
When two authors turn up dead at the Boston publishing house where she works, audacious, street-smart Frances Paige exploits her family ties to the Irish Mob to follow the leads . . . from the hidden coves and waterfront bars of Gloucester to swanky Back Bay watering holes and the New York diamond district. Abducted by a Beacon Hill antiques dealer for poking around where she doesn't belong, Frances soon discovers the shady Boston worlds of antiques selling and drug smuggling collide. Could he be the murderer? Or, perhaps it's the Gloucester fisherman and alleged drug dealer who is tailing her all over town. Or, maybe it's the rival publisher who is trying to seduce her. Unforgettable characters will charm, enthrall, and alarm you in this hold-your-breath page-turner. This is the first book in the Boston Publishing House Mystery Series.

Autorenporträt
Lisa Shanahan lives in the past in Ithaca, New York, and Cambridge, Mass., and in the present as a freelance writer in Bloomington, Indiana, with her husband, Jim. While on a pilgrimage over the years, she passed mile markers at an all-girls prep school in Chattanooga, at Vanderbilt University, in publishing jobs in Boston and New York (tangentially), in a maternity ward, and in sundry picturesque towns in New England.
