Professor John O’Byrne is Professor of Orthopaedics in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He has over 20 years clinical experience in orthopaedic surgery in the areas of trauma, spine surgery, complex knee and hip surgery. He is Clinical Director of the National Orthopaedic Hospital Cappagh (NOHC), Ireland. He is Honorary Orthopaedic Surgeon to the Senior Ireland Soccer Team, Chairman of the Olympic Federation of Ireland /
Sport Institute of Ireland Science and Medicine Committee. He has published extensively on musculoskeletal topics. He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine in Ireland and the UK.
