Halley's Comet circles our sun on an average of every 74-79 years, with many orbits being closer to 76 years. Most people get a once in a lifetime chance to see it, while there are the fortunate few who have the opportunity to experience seeing Halley's Comet twice in a lifetime. In December of 2023, as Halley's Comet was approaching the far reaches of our solar system, and its furthest distance from our sun after it last rounding it in 1986, Nick Comande discovered the notes he kept when tracking Halley's Comet during its 1985-86 visit. He decided to share his observations and excitement from the 6 months he followed the comet during the different stages of its journey in, what he now calls, "My Comet Tales."
