The Bible states that the tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21). So often we are speaking death over our life and circumstances by contradicting what God has already declared to be true in His Word. God assured Joshua of prosperity and success in his life if he would do three things: 1) meditate on His Word day and night; 2) be careful to do everything written in that Word; 3) not let the Word depart from his mouth (Joshua 1:8). When we confess Gods Word out loud, we are agreeing with what He has already decreed about our situations. My Confession of Faith is a collection of declarations from the Word of God intended to be read aloud in much the same way that Jesus proclaimed repeatedly in the wilderness, It is written! It is a tool to help the believer prophesy like Ezekiel and speak life to the dry bones and difficult challenges of their life.
