Autorenporträt
My name is Dr. Cynthia Thomas. I am an educator and have been teaching for nineteen years. I completed my undergraduate studies at Carver Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1984. I earned my master of education degree from Cambridge College, Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 2000 and my doctorate degree in instructional leadership from Argosy University, Sarasota, Florida, in 2010. I also received a honorary doctorate degree from Breakthrough Bible College and Theological Seminary, Forestville, Maryland, in 2009. I have earned certifications in both elementary and middle school. I have worked with grades kindergarten through fifth. I spent three years in the military (army) and was honorably discharged in 1980. I am also an ordained minister, and I work in my church as a youth minister and director of the Children's Church Ministry at New Life Covenant Ministries, where Pastor T. L. Winters is the pastor.

I have been a divorced parent for sixteen years with three children, Valencia, Shalicia, and Rashad. I also have one grandson named Jaden. I was inspired to write this book because I wanted to be an encouragement to other parents. It is very tough being a single parent, but I wanted others to know that you can make it with the help of God, family, and friends. It is important that others know that you not only can make it but you and your family can also move on and be successful and productive in your communities.
