This is a poem that began as the worst thing you can say to a writer: "You know what you should write?" To which was added: "A children's zombie book." It's like telling a comedian what joke they should tell. But, when a friend of mine said it to me, a spark of inspiration zapped my brain, and I immediately came up with the title. But after researching what it takes to write a children's book (Google it. It's not a simple task!"), I decided to write a poem instead. And the title became the first line, and the poem was finished literally in half an hour. The artwork was done by my granddaughter, who complained about how hard it is to draw a 'good' zombie. I told her the art fit the poem perfectly. Enjoy!
