For two weeks in October 2015 I had the privilege to volunteer in the Warlukurlangu Art Centre in Yuendumu Northern Territory, Australia. During that time I donga-shared with volunteers from around the world. The experiences of being in a remote desert community, shared accommodation with people unknown, and the many dogs were new to me. Aside from that I decided to use the discipline of writing a poem each day of my stay as an exercise. The casting for subject captured the diversity of each day and the poems became a journal of daily experiences.
