For first time Author, Ericka James, this has been a long journey that started eleven years ago when she felt led to tell her children the story of her sister. After falling in love with Jesus nineteen years ago she is still very aware that He is the same God as the one she read about. She is a single mama raising four children starting from age nine to sixteen years old. They live in a small town where you can walk to the local diner for breakfast and cows line the fence on the way out to the big city. Her favorite hobby is definitely taking a nap, gardening, serving God, and watching her kids do their passion. Which usually means cheering from the stands at baseball, volleyball or basketball games or watching the school's One Act play that her oldest daughter is a part of. Her home is a place where kids and teens feel safe to gather to hang out and tag along for church.
