Dr. Mahendra Rai is a Senior Professor and UGC-Basic Science Research Faculty at the Department of Biotechnology, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Maharashtra, India. Presently, he is a Visiting Professor at the Department of Microbiology, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland. He was Visiting Scientist at University of Geneva; Debrecen University, Hungary; University of Campinas, Brazil; Nicolaus Copernicus University, Poland, VSB Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic; National University of Rosario, Argentina; and Federal University of Piaui, Teresina, Brazil. Dr. Rai has published more than 425 research papers in national and international journals with 70 h-index. In addition, he has edited/authored more than 69 books and 6 patents. The main focus of his research is Myconanotechnology and its applications in medicine and sustainable agriculture. Dr. Patrycja Goli¿ska, currently works at the Department of Microbiology at Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU), Poland as an Associate Professor. She received a fellowship of the Marshal of Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship for the best doctoral students in 2006 and from the NCU in 2011 to complete a one-year postdoctoral internship at the School of Biology, Newcastle University, UK. She has 14 years of teaching and 18 years of research experience. Dr. Goli¿ska's scientific contribution encompasses 44 original and 14 review articles, 13 book chapters and edition of one book. She received a grant under the Horizon Europe programme of European Commission. The main focus of Dr. Goli¿ska's research is the biosynthesis of metal nanoparticles, mainly by actinobacteria and fungi, and their use to combat bacterial and fungal pathogens, the study of actinobacterial diversity in extreme biomes and the use of actinobacteria as biocontrol agent of fungal phytopathogens.
