This is a counting book for young children who wish to learn the Fijian language, it also includes the colours of the rainbow with English interpretations. It is for our young that are wanting to learn the language and use this book as a learning aid for those first steps. We all learn differently and we hope that this will help a child and their sibling in learning their mother tongue in the space of their homes or anywhere comfortable. This is a easy learning and made to fit the age group 4 to 6years of age. Having grown up living in Fiji, teaching English as a second language and having also travelled the world it is my hope that there is always space to learn our language and be proud of our culture while we live harmoniously among other cultures we come in contact with. May we always be learning to live our best lives through language and teaching our young of who they are and where they come from through our language.

Losena Salabula is a retired teacher whose passion for education for the indigenous Fijian population in Fiji and around the world led her to produce this work with her daughter. She wanted to ensure that future generation of Fijians had a books they could refer for teaching their young their mother tongue.
