The various facets of sustainability are the subject of this volume - in particular from the perspective of the Church and the deaconry. What role does the Church play in the establishment of a sustainable economy? What characterises sustainable business management? And how can sustainable management be implemented? These and other questions are dealt with in this volume, thereby taking the triad of sustainability, i.e. the economic, ecological and social-ethical perspectives, adequately into account. It is also shown how ethical principles can be applied in the field of economic affairs. Ethics are considered to be an elementary prerequisite for economic success.
