Dr. mult. Traute Wohlers-Scharf studied law and political science, and later classical archeology at the University of Vienna. Then she started a career in international organizations such as IDEP (Dakar), UNIDO (Vienna), Asian Development Bank (Manila) and OECD (Paris). She stopped working internationally when her husband became ill. Then she completed professional training as a psychotherapist (symbolic drama) and worked as such in Vienna. Her interests include reading, playing bridge, golf, painting and pottery, as well as traveling and, more recently, healthy cooking.
