While conducting a water quality experiment, Nate finds traces of cyanide in the Carbon River. Nate, along with his Science Club friends, Sandra, Burny, and Sam, decide to investigate the source of the deadly poison in the water. Unfortunately, their search leads them into danger.

The Nate Connors series is based on his personal experiences as a boy and young man living in different places in the world. In addition to writing, his hobbies include travel, hiking, soccer, and art. He and his wife have four daughters and one son.
