Autorenporträt
Dr. Keith is a Senior Program Manager and Principle Scientist at Radian Corporation in Austin, Texas. A pioneer in environmental sampling and analysis, method development, and handling of hazardous compounds, Dr. Keith has published over a dozen books and presented and published more than one hundred technical articles. Recent publications have involved electronic book formats and expert systems. Dr. Keith serves on numerous government, academic, publishing, and environmental committees and is a past chairman of the ACS Division of Environmental Chemistry. Prior to joining Radian Corporation in 1977, he was a research scientist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Doug Walters is Head of Laboratory Health and Safety for the National Toxicology Program at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (USDHHS, NIH) in Research Triangle Park, NC. He received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Georgia. Dr. Walters is past chairman of the Division of Chemical Health and Safety and of the Northeast Georgia Section of the American Chemical Society and is a member of the ACS Committee on Chemical Safety. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the College of Health Sciences at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association. Dr. Walters has lectured throughout the US and Canada and has authored, coauthored and edited approximately 100 publications, including 13 books.
