JIMMY LEE BEASON II is a member of the Osage Nation of Oklahoma, from the Eagle Clan. He works as a professor in the Indigenous and American Indian Studies Department at Haskell Indian Nations University. He also writes nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and essays about contemporary native issues.
