Research carried out over the last five decades have clearly demonstrated that resource conserving technological interventions, water harvesting and improved cultivation practices have the potential to improve utilization of natural resources and significantly enhance crop productivity in the country. The present book contains selected papers presented in FFCSWR-2014 and is compilation of various topical issues on the prime concerns of natural resource conservation in arable and non-arable lands, soil-water resource development and conservation, diversification of crops and farming systems, management of various ecosystems, people's participation, livelihoods, socio-economic development, success stormiest. The selected papers are contributed by scientists, officers, scholars having wide experience in the field of natural resource management with reference to northern India and other states having common interests and implications for the regional development.
