Focusing on accession processes in the WTO and EU this book explores how accession processes vary from state to state and the impact these variations have. Arguing that the variations are due to factors at the domestic and international organizational level the author shows that the institutional capacity of the domestic bureaucracy and the level of public support for accession are the most important factors for the applicant state.
