Blanchard is Associate Professor in the Department of International Relations at San Francisco State University (SFSU), Associate Director of the SFSU Center for U.S.-China Policy Studies, and President of the Association of Chinese Political Studies. Dennis V. Hickey is the director of the graduate program in global studies and the James F. Morris Endowed Professor of Political Science at Missouri State University, USA.
