Jerry Izenberg is a sports journalist whose column has been syndicated by the New Jersey Star-Ledger since 1962. He covered the first fifty-three Super Bowls and more than forty World Series, as well as NBA Finals, Kentucky Derbies, Preaknesses, and Belmont Stakes. Izenberg is in more than fifteen Halls of Fame, has won the Associated Press's Red Smith Award, and has written seventeen books. A native New Jerseyan, he now lives with his wife in Nevada.
