These poems were written over a period of about 55 years. My first poem was the one entitled, Words of Me. I was sitting in Biology class and in the ninth grade when I wrote it. These poems were written over a period of about 55 years. My first poem was the one entitled, Words of Me. I was sitting in Biology class and in the ninth grade when I wrote it. My husband would sometimes give me a subject and ask me to write a poem about it. He suggested I write about a severe ice storm that occurred in 1994. Thus was born Ice Storm '94 . Everything in that poem actually happened just as I wrote it (even the guinea). Yonder in Glory was written shortly after my mother died. It, as well as many of the other poems, were written as songs, but none were set to music. The melodies are all just in my head. Many of my poems are written as a testament to my Savior, Jesus Christ; and in them, I give Him praise. Without Him I could not have written a poem or sung a song. These poems have given me great pleasure throughout the years and I hope they bring you much joy.
