Autorenporträt

Michael Rhodes is a retired surgeon residing in Norwich, United Kingdom. He has traveled North America more than 40 times since 1989 to research and record American and Canadian railyards and is most recently the author of North American Railyards, Updated and Expanded Edition (2014) from Voyageur Press.

Michael Rhodes is a retired consultant surgeon who has had a lifelong fascination with railways. In addition to writing more than 20 books about railroads, he has photographed railways all over the world. This has included more than 60 visits to the United States and Canada to gather the material for this book. When not trying to take that elusive perfect railroad photo, he and his wife are busy keeping the garden in order or helping out in mission hospitals in the Far East.
