Tom is a retired police sergeant with 30 years of law enforcement experience from Monroe, Michigan. He was also a weekly columnist for the Monroe Evening News featuring his personal police stories.

Northern Nightmare is his third novel. He currently resides in New Port Richey, Florida, with his wife, Cindy.
