DIGENE FARRAR is a registered nurse, model, and actor. Also a gifted speaker, she has lectured to both medical professionals and college-age women on health-care issues and motivational topics. She has mentored young women through the Big Sisters and YWCA GirlsFirst organizations. Determined to empower those who have survived childhood sexual abuse, she speaks about her journey from hate, shame, and fear to acceptance, healing, and self-love. Digene and her husband live in Seattle, Washington. Cynthia J. Hurn coauthors nonfiction books of inspiring and transformational content that touch the heart and feed the soul. Her background in psychology, counseling, creative writing, plus rescue work with animals and wild birds brings a unique mixture of science, empathy, and intuitive understanding to her award-winning work. Her books include "No Buddy Left Behind: Bringing US Troops' Dogs and Cats Safely Home from the Combat Zone" and "The Art of Healing: Uncovering Your Inner Wisdom and Potential for Self-Healing." Cynthia currently lives in Somerset, England.
