Elizabeth Horlemann is an author, trainer, and global advocate fighting at the intersection of racism, ableism, and decolonization. As an African Black disabled woman, Elizabeth Horlemann has spent decades challenging systemic exclusion and working to create truly inclusive spaces. She holds a background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, shaping her work in trauma healing, conflict resolution, and structural change. As the founder of SANKOFA Critical Whiteness Training & Organizational Development, she equips individuals and institutions to deconstruct privilege and dismantle systemic racism. Her initiative, EquiAble BIPOC Disability Network, pushes for policy changes in healthcare, education, and employment while demanding full accessibility for disabled BIPOC. In recognition of her activism, she received the AFRONEWS Ortel Mobile African Community in Germany Award 2022 for Lifetime Achievement in the Fight Against Racism. Her book Not Now Please: Living Through Ableism, Racism, and Grief is a powerful testament to resilience, loss, and the fight for dignity.
