Now You Shut Op is a story about a two-year-old little boy who has very little vocabulary and doesnt like to be told what to do. Because he was named after his dad, he at the age of one year old didnt know he had a name. His mom thought that he was super smart for his age, so she decided to put him in Head Start. But to her surprise, he wasnt as ready as she thought. He started wetting on himself after he had to use a different bathroom from what he was use to using at home. For the summer, his mother decided to take a road trip down South to visit her relatives and so they can see her precious little two-year-old. But he wasnt as excited as she had hoped he would be and didnt like to be told what to do by her family, and whenever they said anything to him, he would tell them to shut op. He couldnt even say shut up but rather shut op. He became very excited when he saw his mothers aunt, Aunt Queenie. He had mistaken her for his favorite character.

Autorenporträt
Maxine Chisholm is an author of many books. She decided to write this book about one of her sons, whom she will not name to protect his identity and to hold onto his childhood most memorable times. She is a proud mother of three wonderful sons, Wardell N. Wheeler, Jr (wife Jessica, daughters, Jayla and Jade), Isiah J. Wheeler, Sr. (wife Chaquita, children, Zaya, Isiah Jr., Ian, and Zoey), and De'Andre D. Wheeler (wife Darlena and children A'Niyah, Julian, and Patra). She and her three sisters were all born in Orlando, Florida, but raised in Michigan. Her mother, Cora, raised them as a single mom. Her dad is deceased. She graduated from Ecorse High School. While at times she and her sisters would sit around reminiscing about their mother, sons, grandchildren, niece, Takeisha and nephew, Klyn, and even her daughters-in-law laugh at themselves until they were actually holding their stomachs and crying all at the same time while making fun of each other. She was so touched by the family God has blessed her with that thought of not only writing it down but decided to take it a little further. She decided to write a book about some of their most memorable things that she remembered the most. "This way my family and I will always have a piece of our family history to remember us by and we can share this with generations to come." She has been a member of Greater Grace Temple for over nine years now. Before that, she attended Southwestern Church of God for over twenty years under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Lawrence P. Wyatt until God told her in a dream one day that he wanted her to go to Greater Grace Temple. She has accepted Christ in her life now for over twenty-seven years, when she was five months pregnant with her youngest son.
