Produktbeschreibung
  1. By the late 22rd century, two great alliances dominate the solar system. The inner worlds, including Earth, Mars, Venus and Mercury, formed the Inner Federation or InFed. The outer worlds, some asteroids, then Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune formed the Concordance.
  2. The big prize is Jupiter and particularly its water/ice rich moons Europa, Callisto and Ganymede.
  3. In 2125, Infed investors and governments funded an expedition to Europa to do several things: 1) look for and prospect sources of fusium thought to exist in the subsurface ocean (critical to the solar system economy of the 22nd century); 2) establish a stakehold on Europa through a self-sustaining settlement; and 3) explore the resources of Europa to determine if additional prospecting and settling is feasible.
  4. This story follows the adventures and exploits of three families among the first settlers, three families caught up in a great power adventure of interplanetary intrigue between powerful interests and a growing conflict among the families and their teen-aged children. At the heart of the conflict is a startling discovery of unfathomable power, from deep in the Europan ocean, that threatens the very survival of Humanity.
  5. One family is human (the M'belas, especially youngest daughter Lucy). One family is Amphib (amphibious) (the Meyers, especially daughter Cameron). One family is pure Urth-Seomish and Ponkti (Klatiq ku kel:Ponk'et).
  6. The teenagers finally realize that only they can stop the discovery in the Europan Deep from destroying the settlement and obliterating the worlds of Man.
