Francesco Quaranta Leoni, MD is the Director of the Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Service in the Dept. of Ophthalmology of Tiberia Hospital - GVM Care & Research in Rome and Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Pavia. Past President of ESOPRS and SICOP (Italian Oculoplastic Surgery Society), International Associate Member of ASOPRS, Member of ITEDS, Committee Member and Advisor for Oculoplastic Surgery of AIMO (Italian Association of Ophthalmologists), Member of the Editorial Board of Orbit, the International Journal on Orbital Disorders, Oculoplastic and Lacrimal Surgery. He attended general ophthalmic and subspecialty strabismus training at the Catholic University of Rome, and a two-year Fellowship in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital - London. In 2014 he has received the ASOPRS Merrill Reeh Pathology Award for his work on the management of porous orbital implants requiring explantation. He lectures regularly worldwide on oculoplastic surgery, publishes in the field, and has a commitment to teaching, training ophthalmic doctors at residency and post residency level. David Harding Verity, KStJ MD MA (Oxon) BM BCh FRCOphth, is currently Honorary Treasurer of ESOPRS and in 2023 completes his term as President of The British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS). Trained at Oxford and St Thomas' Hospital in London, he pursued a research degree in immunogenetics in the Middle East and London for which he was awarded the Iris Fund Millennial Award of research into the causes of blindness. On returning to the UK he completed his subspecialty training before undertaking an oculoplastic Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, where, in 2004, he was appointed as a Consultant. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed scientific publications and book chapters, with past roles including Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Orbit and Honorary Treasurer of The British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS). Mr Verity isHospitaller of the Order of St John, founder and clinical lead of the St John Ophthalmic Association, and a founding member of the Eye and Face Network for wartime and catastrophe ophthalmology. His extracurricular interests include teaching and operating in the Gaza Strip, and promoting a new postgraduate ophthalmic network across the the Order of St John. Dion Paridaens, PhD, MD is the President Elect and Past Honorary Secretary of ESOPRS. Clinical Director and Adnexal Fellowship Director, Oculoplastic, Lacrimal & Orbital Service, the Rotterdam Eye Hospital & Oculoplastic & Orbital Surgeon, Department of Ophthalmology, Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Honorary Secretary S.W.O.O. Research Foundation, Rotterdam. He is the head of the Residency Program of the Rotterdam Eye Hospital. He is a visiting Oculoplastic & Orbital Surgeon E.L.Z.A. Clinic, Zurich, Switzerland. During 5 years he was a visiting Professor at the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, Switzerland. He is a Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Orbit, the International Journal on Orbital Disorders, Oculoplastic and Lacrimal Surgery and currently is a Section Editor of the British Journal of Ophthalmology. Author of over 200 peer-reviewed scientific publications and book chapters. Received the FC Donders Prize for his work on periocular melanoma in 1996. Frequently lecturing all over the globe. Founding (Council) member and honorary Vice President of the Dutch Orbital Society.
