We derive joy and happiness in doing so many things. I tend to derive so much joy in writing and one way to express my emotions is by writing poems. I believe when I sit down to write, emotions flow like the river.When my sister, Debbie, passed away, I never thought I would be saying goodbye at that early time. My first poems were written to my wife, Jocelyn. We have been married for 35 years. "My Journey" was written while I was taking a certified nurse assistant class at San Jose Vocational Center when I was 51. My journey was just beginning, continuing, never ending, with a new beginning. I have chosen to publish my poems to express my creative style of thinking and how personal it was meant to the intended. I will be retired soon and my last poem "I plan to retire" may be my last as I start a new beginning.
