Sharon Oberne is a retired public school teacher, who taught at Ocean View Elementary School in Norfolk, Virginia. She became interested in Miss Lucy Mason Holt, from a painting. Everytime when she entered the school building, she was greeted by Miss Holt's painting hanging on a wall near the office. Mrs. Oberne grew curious about this famous icon and was surprised in what she had discovered! This is her second book written about this famous educator. Her first book, "Miss Lucy's Barefoot Boys," is available through various digital book sellers.
