Oliver Twist is English writer Dickens' realism novel which is published in 1838. It tells us the miserable life experience of an orphan on the background of Fog city London. Oliver grows up at an orphanage. At first he is a apprentice. But he goes into a haunt of thieves mistakenly during his fleeing from calamity. He is forced to be a thief and goes through many difficulties. Fortunately, with the help of kind people, he discovers his identity and gets happiness. Like other novels of Dickens, this book exposes many problems in society of that time, such as orphanages, child laborers and sinister gang absorbing teenage to join their crime.
