Autorenporträt
Xuewu Zhang received his BSc in Mathematics in 1983 at Hunan Normal University, China. He got his MSc degree in Ecology in 1990 and PhD degree in Entomology in 1993, both from Zhongshan University, China. Then he worked at the Food Engineering Research Center of State Education Ministry, Zhongshan University, China. After May of 1998, he was invited to do postdoctoral research at several universities, including The University of Hong Kong, University of British Columbia (Canada), University of Manitoba (Canada) and University of California at Los Angeles (USA). In January of 2003, under the scheme "Admission of Talents, he returned to The University of Hong Kong as a Research Assistant Professor. In August o f2005, he joined the South China University of Technology as a Professor. Currently his main research interest focuses on target identification of biopharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals with omics technologies.
