The Bible says that, during Jesus' ministry on earth, "many of His disciples turned away and did not follow Him anymore (John 6:66)." Jesus never said that any of those one-time disciples who stopped following Him were guaranteed eternal salvation and had a secure place in heaven reserved for them. He has worked with both traditional churches and house churches in pastoring, preaching, teaching, and evangelism and served as editor of a Christian magazine. He and his wife have been married forty-five years and have two grown children and five grandchildren.
