Manijeh Badiozamani grew up in Tehran, Iran before moving to the U.S. with her husband over 50 years ago. She is a keen observer of life and easily laughs at her own miscues as she deftly straddles two different cultures.

From worrying about a Mafia attack outside O'Hare Airport on their arrival to organizing an office Christmas party years later, the author covers subjects like food, odd American customs, supermarket shopping, kind and generous people, and even her own premature obituary as written by a former student.

MANIJEH BADIOZAMANI is a literary non-fiction writer whose stories have been published on the web and in anthologies. She was born in Tehran, Iran, and has lived in the United States for the past fifty years. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Idaho. She has taught at the college level and has also worked in the private sector.
