A few friends are are having break time at the food court in the Scotia Square Mall and trying to figure out which human to help next. Horus nibbles on seafood, Freyr is constantly trying to charm everyone. And Kali wants to help Mimi, but for the occasional distraction of her ardent worshipers.

No one asked Mimi if she needed help. And she certainly didn't ask for their kind of help.

Mimi just wants to get a little luck in life. A new job is desperately needed so she can pay the rent and get her landlady to stop pestering her.

Frantic antics ensue as the deities, plus a few more entities, all seem to gravitate towards this one human. They want to help Mimi or hire her.

Corinne lives in Nova Scotia, Canada, a place rife with tales of pirates in every nook and cranny. She lives in Lower Sackville with her wife and two cats, who are frequently nicknamed "Little Pirate". She has two recent SF short stories published. One each in Dystopia From The Rock and Pulp Sci-Fi from The Rock. In addition to writing, Corinne enjoys dabbling in many things, including board games, video games, and cooking. Flash fiction is another way she can dabble into something a little different.
