The book provided a detailed description of the condition of Egypt before and after the conquest. The conquest of Egypt is an influential historical event in Islamic history and the history of Egypt as well. The author has used a huge number of Arab sources. Western countries, and dealt with historical events in depth, and was not led by the marginality of events and contradictory narratives. The author of the book: Alfred Joshua Butler (1850-1936). He received his university education at Oxford University and obtained a doctorate in 1902. In 1880, Khedive Muhammad Tawfiq summoned him to undertake the education of his children. He remained in this position until February 1881, and during the months that Butler spent in Egypt, he became devoted to He began studying Coptic and Islamic history and antiquities, and witnessed the beginnings of the Urabi Revolt. Butler returned to Egypt as a visitor and researcher in 1884.
