As a queer writer with toes in a number of outside the mainstream sexual collectives, Cooper S. Beckett has yearned to create characters that better represent him, his friends, and his partners. Osgood As Gone represents a departure for Beckett, as it is his first foray into genre fiction after two novels and a memoir about non-monogamy. A long time buff of the strange and unusual, Beckett has always yearned to put some of his own theories of the afterlife and hauntings into his work, just found they had little place in his lifestyle stories.
