It explores the consequences of experiencing personal discrimination and the satisfaction of not being defeated by such injustice. Mitch holds degrees from Mars Hill College, Furman University, the University of Alabama and Louisiana State University. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humanities by Lander University. He is a Fellow of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and holds the Honors of the SC Speech Language and Hearing Association. He was awarded the Order of the Palmetto by the state of South Carolina.
