Autorenporträt

My name is Meshon and I wrote this book to give hope to the hopeless. I know what it is like to walk through darkness alone. I am a survivor of SA, DV, physical and mental abuse at the hands of my mother. I understand not having anyone to turn too, there have been times I wanted to end it all and I attempted many times and always failed. I knew I had to have some kind of purpose to still be here. The road was not easy, I have been shot, in and out of jail, in and out of abusive relationships, I have been homeless, abused alcohol and many other tragic events. Watching people come in and out of my life became routine. It wasn't until August 2020 after escaping an abusive relationship, I woke up from a diabetic coma and decided I wanted to live. Slowly I pieced my life back together, I revisited my purpose of bridging the gap for those who are ageing out of the foster care system without resources to live. I have always felt strongly about the children left behind, the rejected homeless, and the unheard. A percentage of what I earn from this book and the other streams of income I have will be put towards this mission, "Young Lives Empowered". Through educational resources, housing, mental healt, I plan to bridge the gap and strengthen our foundation as a natiion! we have to start somewhere.
