Charles Mansueto, PhD, is founder and director of the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington, a leading center for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. He received his doctorate from Catholic University and completed his post-doctoral clinical training at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University . He hasoverthirty-fiveyearsofexperienceintheapplicationofbehaviortherapytoabroadrangeofclinicalproblems. Mansueto has written extensively and presented nationally and internationally on OCD and related disorders. He currently serves as a member of the Scientific and Clinical Advisory Board of the International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation and Chair of OCD Mid-Atlantic, an IOCDF affiliate. He also serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of the TLC Foundation for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors and the Medical Advisory Board of the Tourette Syndrome Association of Greater Washington. He retired as a tenured Professor of Psychology after thirty-six years in the University of Maryland System. Sherrie M. Vavrichek, LSCW-C, is a cognitive behavioral therapist and published author who uses mindfulness, meditation, and Buddhist philosophy in her practice and in her life. She is a senior staff member at the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington and has presented at the national conferences on numerous mental health topics , including compassionate assertiveness. Vavrichek lives and works in the Washington, DC, area. Ruth Golomb, LCPC, is a senior clinician, supervisor, and a co-director of the training program at the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington, where she has worked since the mid-1980's. Golomb specializes in treatment of anxiety disorders in children and adults. She has conducted numerous workshops and seminars covering many topics, including tourette syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, and anxiety. In addition to publishing articles for professional journals and newsletters, Golomb is author of The Hair Pulling 'Habit' and You, a book describing the comprehensive treatment of trichotillomania in children, and Stay Out of My Hair and A Parent Guide to Hair Pulling Disorder, books designed to educate, guide, and support parents of children with trichotillomania. Golomb is also author of Psychological Interventions for Children with Sensory Dysregulation. She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for The TLC Foundation forBFRBs.
