They also make new friends, from her uncle's Latino girlfriend and her two kids; to an unsaved, angry teen who comes to live with them--and who thinks very differently than Pearl and her family in some ways; to a wealthy, silver-haired Jewish woman whom Pearl learns to love as a grandmother. They also visit her uncle's church, and vision-cast for the future--which includes Pearl learning to play a harp, and ride a real Lipizzan. Through it all, Pearl learns more of how to be a true P.O.W.E.R. Girl, and o relax and dream again, knowing that God's plans for her are only good!
