CHRISTOPHER B. BALME is Professor of Theatre Studies at the University of Munich, Germany. His publications include The Reformation of Comedy, Decolonizing the Stage: Theatrical Syncretism and Post-Colonial Drama and Fusion Cultures (editor), amongst others.
