Krista Bergren-Walsh's one-act play, "Stopping to Sniff the Truffles: A One Act," is an illuminating drama focused on the intersectionality of disability (ADHD), alcoholism, and how the COVID-19 pandemic has placed substantial stress on society. During these stressful times, there is still an ability, as well as a drive, to find joy in the simple things that life has to offer, whether it be a tinder moment with one's life partner or the simple joy of perfectly seasoned food.

Before graduating from Creighton University in 2016, Krista Bergren-Walsh fell in love with the complexities and varieties of storytelling within the theater world. She won a writing contest on campus and got to watch her one act, Diamonds in the Rough, performed for Creighton University's 50th Theatre Anniversary.

Krista has won 6th place in Script Writing for Writer's Digest 90th Annual Competition with her play This Play Is Utter BS. She has poetry and flash fiction featured in Wishbone Words, boats against the current, The Dalloway Press, void space vine, Moon Cola, and Storytellers Refrain. She has upcoming works with Bullshit Lit, The Bitchin' K, and Seafront Press.

Krista lives with her wonderful husband, four chaotic ferrets (she fully intends to write a play about them), and their orange cat Felix. She hopes to start her vegetable garden this year eventually and to eat plenty of meals seasoned with truffles.
