Autorenporträt
John Tullock (Powell, TN) has written thirteen how-to books and illustrated several of them with his photography. His enormously successful Natural Reef Aquariums is now in its fifth printing. The American Horticulture Society named his Growing Hardy Orchids on of the five "Great Garden Books" of 2006. Tullock grew up on his family's farm. During the 1980s, he operated a retail business that farmed five acres organically. After moving back to the city in the late 1990s, he stated selling plants from his suburban garden, eventually operating a mail-order rare-plant nursery until 2003. Now a full-time author and consultant, he works from his home and garden near Knoxville, TN.
