Autorenporträt
Aruna M. Lepore, who grew up in the Caribbean (Trinidad), never thought that her passive dream of writing would become, not just a passion, but a reality. Although now an American author and illustrator, her writing and hand-painted illustrations reflect her Caribbean style...bright colors, vibrant music, and the cultural values she learned at home. She is passionate about teaching her children empathy and kindness to others, whether humans, animals or cicadas, and those themes resonate in her book. Aruna currently lives in Maryland with her husband, two children and two South African cats.
