Dr. Martha Lam is Associate Director in the Center for Language Education at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. A language practitioner, teacher and teacher-educator for over 30 years, she has taught and developed Chinese courses for non-native speakers of Chinese in Sydney and Hong Kong and is currently involved in the training of Chinese teachers for Teaching Chinese to Speakers of non-Chinese background.
