Still convinced that he's a dog who should chase cats, Peter the horse bolts after the cat and successfully crosses the bridge. He brings the much-needed supplies to the folks on the other side, and he and Mr. Abbitt are named heroesall because of a cat!

Peter Abbitt and the Big Flood teaches children about a historic flood and emphasizes the importance of kindness and individual problem-solving. Young readers will be engaged and entertained with this silly story about a horse who saves the day by acting like a dog.
