PHILIP PULLMAN has won many awards for his children's books, including the Carnegie Medal, the Guardian Children's Book Award, the Smarties Prize, the Whitbread Book of the Year Award and a CBE. A two-part dramatisation of his acclaimed fantasy trilogy, His Dark Materials, written by Nicholas Wright, premiered at the National Theatre in 2003. PHILIP WILSON is a director, whose recent credits include How Many Miles to Babylon? (Lyric Belfast); Toro! Toro! (national tour); Twist of Gold (Polka); The Norman Conquests, Noises Off, Dr Faustus and The Astonished Heart/ Still Life (Liverpool Playhouse). He was the Artistic Director of Salisbury Playhouse, 2007-11.
