Field trips, extracurricular places of learning or even 'outdoor education' have hardly been considered in philosophy didactics so far. This volume aims to close this gap and to stimulate further research and discussion. This book is a translation of an original German 1st edition Außerschulische Lernorte, Erlebnispädagogik und philosophische Bildung edited by Markus Tiedemann, published by J.B.Metzler, imprint of Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature in 2021. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence (machine translation by the service DeepL.com). The authors have subsequently revised the text further in an endeavor to refine the work stylistically.
